So it has been a while. Seems starting work has made my release schedule a bit spotty. Oh well, progress is still being made. Right now I’m massively ahead with The Pale Rose as far as writing goes. The story is over 300 pages long already and closing in on 115 000 words while the end is still a fair ways off. Looks like this’ll be the longest one yet.

Anyway, here’s chapter 9 of the story. It’s not a cheerful chapter and the themes presented in it are not pleasant. But I hope it is enough to convey what horrors Eleria has had to endure.

Some of the chapters are a bit iffy on whether I’ll be able to post them on Deviantart without breaking their rules on what content is allowed, but we’ll see.

Eastery Sunday is no excuse for not putting out a new chapter so here we go.

Chapter 5 of The Pale Rose. The two brothers continue their search for Eleria while she is being ferried away by her captors. Cheid takes the test to see whether he has what it takes to be a student at the Towers. We’re closing in on the end of the first part of the story.

In other news, I’ve completed He Who Seeks. It ended up being just a little over 30 000 words long. There are two chapters I haven’t released yet so I’ll release those as soon as I manage to do a bit of editing on them.

It’s Sunday again and that means a new chapter of The Pale Rose. I know I missed last week, but that sometimes happens. You’ll just have to live with it 🙂

In any case, the second chapter takes us through things form Cheid’s view point as well as provides us with a bit more on Eleria’s plight. It’s a more gruesome chapter than the first one, but I hope you can make it through.

Hello.

It has taken a while, but I think I’m finally ready to start putting out chapters of the next story set in Balaria. It is called The Pale Rose and it focuses on the childhood of Eleria and Cheid, characters you might remember from Guardian Spirit. If you haven’t read it, don’t worry. You don’t need to have read any of the other novels to get into this one.

So what is the story about? I’ll give you this little sales pitch I came up with(rather hastily I must admit).

Eleria Thraomdan, the imperial princess of Ramyn, is sent to safety after an assassination attempt on her fails. The truth is hidden from her and she is left thinking it is only a routine visit to a place she considers her second home.

Cheid Strihin, the heir of the Strihin family, a family that is tasked with the protection of the imperial princess. To him the princess is a friend, someone he has grown up with. Her arrival at the family estate is nothing unusual for him.

Neither knows what is waiting for them. Neither one knows the pains growing up will bring.

I have to warn you that this is probably one of the darker stories I’ve written. Certainly the darkest one to be set in Balaria. There’s a lot of violence, themes that are pretty hard to go with and some amounts of nudity and sex. So..you’ve been warned, though the first chapter isn’t that bad 🙂
