Time to start the next long term story. This time we’re going in the sci-fi genre. Maybe a bit of horror. Our main character is Carrie Apalkov, a security officer on Earth, who gets assigned to new duties on the space station Minerva. Corporate greed and a scientific discovery soon pulls her into a case of a life time.

This year I hope to finish at least two of the unfinished novels I have kicking around. I’m 44 000 words into one of them and the others is ~83 000 words in and very close to being finished. We’ll see how long it takes to start putting out chapters of that. Meanwhile I’ll probably post a few more short stories, though with no solid schedule. Hope that’s enough to tide you over 🙂

So while we’re waiting for me to finish some of the longer stories I’m working on I figured I’d break the silence with a short story. It’s sort of sci-fi and comes with my usual dark outlook on things. Hope you enjoy it.

Busy Sunday with two new chapters, one for The Pale Rose and another for He Who Seeks. I hope you enjoy both of them.
Chapter 3 of the Pale Rose introduces us some new characters and a bit of scheming. The violence is behind us, for now.

On chapter five of He Who Seeks the identity of Target 2 is revealed and the story starts heading towards its ending. It’s looking like the story will be around 100 pages long so it’ll fall short of a full novel I think.

On a bit of personal news, I’m starting a new job on Monday. What that will mean for my writing, I’m not sure yet. Certainly I’ll have less time to put into it so the pace might slow down a bit, especially with the side projects. But..we’ll see how things start running 🙂

So, the side-project seems to be progressing pretty well so far. Certainly much quicker than I’d expected. In any case, here is the second chapter for the story.
Hermes and Travis do a bit of ruin exploration and find all sorts of useful things. Decisions are made and new monsters are encountered. The first chapter got a lot of positive comments in various places so I hope this chapter can continue it in a satisfactory manner.

Hello.
No new chapter this week, but I’ll give you a short Sci-Fi piece instead. It’s one of those stories that has clawed its way out of the darker corners of my mind so it has a lot of things in it; strong language, nudity, violence, gore, the usual suspects.
The story focuses on Tom, a nervous wreck of a man whose debtors are hot on his heels, wanting their money. Having scavenged an cyborg leg from a body floating in the river, he hopes to get enough money for it from an used parts shop, but things are not that simple..
As far as the next long term story goes, I now have about 27 pages of it written. Still a bit unsure about it, but feeling much better than a week ago. Starting to think it will actually work out with a bit of tweaking. Still, expect it to take at least a few more weeks before you get to see the first chapter. Meanwhile, there might be a few more short stories I’ll get to finish to keep you reading 🙂
